Grand Finale 2016

National winners have been chosen from the best pool of talents in each Nordic country. These finalists will now compete on a regional level.
These is a great opportunity to meet the best talents of the startup ecosystem, who will represent the Nordic region worldwide. But there are more reasons to come, please read below!

STARTUP ICELAND 2016

Day 1: May 30st

We encourage everyone with interest in the Nordic startup ecosystem to consider attending the Startup Iceland 2016 conference held on May, 30st (the day before the Grand Finale). Everyone is welcome.

Every year, this unique conference enables startups and investors to meet informally, and create value by building relationships that can open many doors. Some of the VC investors that are attending are Mark Solon which manages a $265m Techstars Venture fund, and Ingrid Vanderveldt that manages a $150m fund.

The general guest ticket price is 400$, get yours here. The price include everything and the conference might be a valuable opportunity to network with investors, talent etc. The program and schedule of the conference can be checked at Startup Iceland 2016.

As a regional finalist , you will get the opportunity to buy the early bird ticket (50% off) plus an extra 25% off. You will receive the link to the Eventbrite by mail.

If your startup already booked its ticket to the conference, you will have the opportunity to setup booth in the networking area for free.

NORDIC STARTUP AWARDS - GRAND FINALE 2016

Day 2: May 31st

The Icelandic community is proud to celebrate the Grand Finale 2016 in Iceland hosted by our amazing country partner Icelandic Startups. The Minister of Industry and Commerce of Iceland, Ragnheiður Elín Árnadóttir, will be opening the show. Other political stakeholders will be also present.

Everyone with relation or interest of the Nordic startup ecosystem is welcome. The event is free of charge and it will be held in the gorgeous Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík.

Traveling to Iceland

Flight tickets to Iceland can be a bit more pricy compared to other Nordic destinations. We highly recommend that you book as soon as possible if you want to attend. There are different low cost airlines flying to Iceland as WOWair. You can also check Dohop.com for more options.

Once you are in Reykjavík, you can book the public bus, which is the cheapest and most convenient way of getting to and from Keflavik International Airport to Reykjavik or vice versa. You can get your ticket through Reykjavik Excursions.

ACCOMMODATION

There are different options for accommodation in Iceland. If you are coming in a group, Airbnb might be a good fit. Another option can be staying in a hostel.
