Naimul Abd is Business Advisor & Partnerships Lead at Coompanion Stockholm. He coaches more than 500 startup founders every year, manages and / or speaks at more than 100 startup events and meetups, has been instrumental in developing the partnership ecosystem for Coompanion Stockholm, and has recently been involved in projects related to social impact & creative sector. He is also involved in transforming several startup and impact ecosystem initiatives including being a Director for Startup Grind Stockholm and a Mentor for Founder Institute Nordics. In 2018, Naimul was awarded the Diversity Prize in Växjö, Sweden for his work in entrepreneurship. Naimul also has an early-stage impact-tech startup portfolio.
I’m a 45 year old mom of three small children and married to an entrepreneur. I was born in Romania and fled with my family to Gothenburg. I have a master’s degree in business with a focus on the management of growth companies. For the last 20 years, the GU Ventures team and I have supported hundreds of entrepreneurs in building their new businesses. Prior to GU Ventures, I worked for Venture Cup, Daimler-Benz, Volvo Cars and Geveko Industrier. In February of 2020, I was appointed the Finance Profile of the Year award with the motivation that we are an important factor for the business community in our region. Before that I was also appointed Leader of the Year of Gothia Academy in 2016.
I have always done things that interests me and make me grow on different levels. Im a tech community builder and love to watch companies and people develop to become their best version. Therefore I enjoy working with companies in early stages where the journey begins. Im a solid combo of introvert and extrovert, I always long for my morning cup of coffee and I wish I was better at ice skating.
Melanie is the founder and CEO of Panion. Melanie received a bachelors in anthropology from Columbia University and a masters of fine arts in social documentary filmmaking from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She worked in sales for Apple for almost 3 years and for more than 10 years as a freelance filmmaker, photographer and designer. In 2014 she received a Fulbright grant to conduct research on integration at Lund University in Sweden, and through her research the concept of Panion was born. Melanie brings to Panion her background in social anthropology, project management and design thinking, combined with a passion for promoting more positive social experiences that tackle loneliness and create a deeper sense of inclusion.
As co-founder and CEO, my primary role is to define the strategy and direction for the company. Over the last 19+ years I have led IT and Solution sales within MNCs such as HCL, GlobalLogic and have built several new business initiatives creating a new service line, expanding to new geography, industries and building new solutions. I am an Intrapreneur who has grown businesses from zero or a very low base to about a few multi-million dollars per year. As CEO at TrusTrace, I have used my past experience to identify and forge partnerships with Investors, Brand Leadership and Ecosystem partners to help them develop their business strategy around traceable, transparent and sustainable supply chains.
Lena Hackelöer is the founder and CEO of Brite Payments, a second generation instant payments provider based in Stockholm. Brite leverages Open Banking technology to process A2A payments in real-time between consumers and online merchants across 21 markets in Europe. Lena has been in the European Fintech space for more than 12 years. Having joined Klarna in its early days, Lena spent 7 years at a number of leading roles in Klarna, including overseeing marketing and global communications as well as local market strategy. Before founding Brite, she also served as the CPO, CMO and finally CEO of Qliro Financial Services (STO:QLIRO).
